Turn off the power to the chandelier. Remove the light bulbs from the chandelier. Set these in a safe place for the duration of your cleaning project.

Use a dry cotton cloth to dust the chains and body of the chandelier. Do not use a cleaning solution on these parts as it may damage the finish.

Place a soft cotton glove on one hand and hold a clean, dry, cotton cloth in the other. Spray window cleaner into the gloved hand. Using the glove, gently wipe window cleaner onto each crystal of the chandelier. Immediately dry the crystal with the clean rag in your opposite hand. Proceed throughout the chandelier, gently cleaning each crystal.

Tips & Warnings
If the chandelier has not been cleaned on a regular basis and needs a more thorough cleaning, remove the crystals one at a time from the fixture. Wash them in a padded sink with warm water mixed with a small amount of white vinegar and a drop of dish soap. Do not allow the crystals to hit any hard parts of the sink, or to touch other crystals, as they may get damaged.
Always use extreme caution when cleaning a chandelier, as they are very fragile. Do not use paper products to clean a chandelier, as they may scratch the surface of the crystals.
