The registry in Microsoft Windows is essentially the nucleus of the operating system. It holds data on all programs installed on the computer, as well as settings for the software. The registry is the reason Windows doesn't need MSDOS. Because of the importance of the registry, it is necessary to correct any errors that occur within the registry, including registry error 32. There is software, though, that can correct this error.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Registry Fix software
  1. Step 1

Follow the link to the Registry Fix software website (see Resources). Click the blue "Download" button. When the download is complete, open the new desktop icon and follow the steps to complete the installation of Registry Fix software.

  2. Step 2

Open "Registry Fix" (it should open automatically when the installation completes, but if not, select the "Registry Fix" desktop icon).

  3. Step 3

Click "Scan now." The software will now scan the registry for errors, including error 32. You can end the scan at any time by clicking "Abort."

  4. Step 4

Click "Remove Problems" once the scan is complete. You will be asked to register the software; click "Cancel." The errors will now be removed, fixing any issues with the registry, including error 32.
