Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A Masters or Terminal Degree
  1. Step 1

Get a Masters, PhD or other terminal degree. Be sure that you have at least 15-20 graduate credits in the subject that you want to teach. This especially true if you have a general graduate degree such as an MBA in general business and you wish to teach a specialized business course like Accounting or Finance.

  2. Step 2

Prepare a Curriculum Vita that has your experience, objective and education. Your curriculum vitae should give the employer enough information to make a decision whether to hire you. Be sure to include all education including workshops, seminars, etc that has increased your knowledge in the subject that you wish to teach.

  3. Step 3

Look for online schools that need faculty. You may use y our search engine to search for online schools or use a job board which often lists online jobs.

  4. Step 4

Be prepared to go through several weeks of training before you are released to teach a class on your own. Your training will be extensive and you should have time set aside to train daily, although this differs from school to school.

Tips & Warnings
  • Specialize in the area in which you wish to teach.
