Step 1
Drink plenty of fluids- It is imperative that you consistently drink plenty of water several times a day. Before, during and after exercising. You should always carry an ice cold container with you. Refrain from caffeinated beverages or sugary drinks, these types of drinks will keep you dehydrated. If you feel the need for a sweet tasting drink then I would recommend Gatorade, or Dasani with lemon, etc.

Step 2
Stock up on popsicles-Popsicles are cool and refreshing and they come in handy when you need a quick relief of a mid afternoon cool down to take your mind off of the excessive heat.

Step 3
Eat fruits that keep you cool i.e. Watermelon. Due to the fact that a watermelon contains a large percentage of water, it will aid in preventing dehydration.

Take a swim- as I previously stated in the description of this article, the ultimate cool down for the summer would be for you to take a nice, long dip in the pool.
