Things You'll Need:
- small clay pot
- paint
- potting soil
- decorations
- any grass seeds
-
Step 1
Have your kids paint a small clay pot a light color like yellow or white with tempera paint. If they want a different color just add a little white paint to lighten it.
-
Step 2
Help your kids take their small clay pot and make a face on it. This can be done by painting it or adding wiggly eyes. Just be creative. My daughter used yarn for a mouth.
-
Step 3
Now, fill the clay pot 3/4 of the way full with potting soil. Then gently sprinkle some of the grass seeds over the soil.
-
Step 4
Next, sprinkle a little potting soil over the seeds. Just a little to cover them lightly.
-
Step 5
Finally, water you chia pet about twice a week and give it a little sun. Wait and watch the grass grow. The grass will be your kids pets hair so let them give them a hair cut with their safety scissors. They can leave it long or cut it short let them be creative.
