A park lake can be enjoyed year round and is a fun trip for the whole family. Find a local park with a lake and go have some fun.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Take a picnic. Go to the lake and sit around and enjoy some food in the company of some good friends and family. It can be a good place for a romantic date as well.

  2. Step 2

Go fishing if it is permitted. Your local park lake can provide hours of fishing pleasure and practice for when you go to a bigger lake. Who knows you might catch enough to make a meal off of.

  3. Step 3

Feed the ducks. Feeding ducks if fun especially for children. Kids love to take old bread to a lake and throw it out and watch the birds eat and quack.

  4. Step 4

Go swimming if its safe and allowed. You can stay and shape and stay cool during the heat of the summer all at the same time. Best of all its usually always free to go to your neighborhood park lake.

  5. Step 5

Take a walk around the waters edge. You can look for neat rocks or even shells and small fish that feed right by the shore. Walking is good for the body.

  6. Step 6

Enjoy a sunrise or sunset. Go out and watch as the sun rises into the morning sky or revel in its beauty as it sets in the evening. This is another great idea for a date. It is very romantic and peaceful.

Tips & Warnings
  • Light cool foods are good to bring to eat.
  • Be aware of the weather and be ready to evacuate if severe weather appears.
