Things You'll Need:
- 3-inch wide ribbon
- Thin florist wire
- Florist tape
- Bow hanger or hook
- Scissors
-
Step 1
Take your 3-inch-wide ribbon and cut out 3 yards.
-
Step 2
From that length, cut 4 feet from that. This will serve as the decorative streamers.
-
Step 3
With the rest of the 3 yards of ribbon and the florist wire, you will begin to create your bow, taking one end and folding over approximatelytwo inches, creating a small loop.
-
Step 4
Lace the florist wire through the loop you made, fold it in half to bind it and twist it once to secure it. This way, the loop you just made doesn't fall apart. If you did this right, the floral wire will be right between your fingers and the main loop will be up top. The wire should always be behind the bow for the purpose of aestetics.
-
Step 5
With the remaining bow make a bigger loop. Be sure to twist the floral wire where the loop is meeting the floral wire in order to secure it.
-
Step 6
Create another loop on the other side the same size as the one you just finished. Secure this one as you did the other one. Lather, rinse, and repeat until you've used up all your ribbon.
-
Step 7
Take the bow and twist the loops around that smaller loop you created to make it resemble a flower.
-
Step 8
Fold the 4-foot length in half and use the floral wire to attach it to the bow as the streamers.
-
Step 9
Use the florist tape to wrap the rest of the floral wire together. this prevents it from coming apart and ruining your work.
-
Step 10
Attach that whole thing to the hanger, and use the hanger to hang it on the pew.
-
Step 11
You're done!
