How to Search Date Ranges for Weather History
If you are trying to track the changes in weather history in a specific location there are several ways you can go about getting that information. There are many online resources that will allow you to view the time between two dates and how the weather was on days between those two dates. Most TV stations in cities have a way of seeing past weather reports that were given by the meteorologist. Before utilizing these resources, know what dates you which to track and know what sort of weather patterns you're looking for.

Purchase a copy of the most recently published Farmer's Almanac. If you are a farmer or gardener this is a great resource to have at your fingertips. You can view past weather patterns in areas all through the United States.

Go to the Long Range Weather website (see References). Click on the "Daily Weather Records" option from the right-hand side of the page. Enter the start and end date in the appropriate fields. Select "All" from the Type drop-down menu to see all weather patterns or select a specific weather pattern. Select your state from the drop-down menu or leave it on "All" to see the weather patterns throughout the whole United States. Click on the "Search" button.

Read through the various data from the weather records summary. You can also view data result for various cities at the bottom of the page. The records for each city mostly will indicate if there was a high or low and what the weather pattern was.

Go to the National Climatic Data Center (NOAA) website (see References). Click on the "Free Data" option on the right-hand side of the page to get a list of free options. Some of the records you can view may have the dates that you are looking for. Check with the free information to see if you can find what you're looking for regarding the weather between two dates.

Go to the NOAA's climate page (see References). Click on the "Climate Data Online system" option to view weather patterns in the country. To receive a direct report for a data range of weather history, you will have to request a local report from NOAA.
