How to Change Your Windows Vista Password
A password is an essential security feature of user accounts in Windows Vista, which provides a defense against unauthorized access to your computer. Windows passwords should be changed at least every two months to ensure protection of your computer.

Log on to your Windows Vista user account.

Click “Start” and then “Control Panel.”

Select “User Accounts and Family Safety” in the Control Panel.

Click “Change your Windows Password” under “User Accounts", and then click “Change your password.”

Type your current password in the field. Then type a new password in the field below. Re-type the same password in the field “Confirm new password.”

Click the “Change Password” button.
