Microsoft Outlook is the most popular email management software among businesses. One of the reasons for this are its powerful calendar features. The process of creating one or more calendars in Outlook is not difficult, and any user with average computer skills can do it. Here is a method for creating a new calendar in a public folder.

      Open the Outlook program and click on the calendar icon that is located in the lower left of the main window.

      Select "File" from the menu selections at the top of the calendar pane; then from the drop-down menu that appears, click on "New".

      Click on "Calendar". A window labeled "Create New Folder" will appear.

      Pick a name for your new calendar file and type it into the text box.

      Select the public folder in which you would like to keep the calendar, and click "OK". You are finished; you have just created a new public calendar file.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are keeping track of multiple calendars in Outlook, you can display them all side by side in the center window by clicking on the check boxes beside them in the calendar pane.
