Updating the maps on a Magellan GPS Unit

  1. Step 1

Log in to the Internet and go to the link listed in References as "Magellan FAQ."

  2. Step 2

Click on the first question: "Are map updates available for my vehicle navigation unit?"

  3. Step 3

Find your GPS model on the list and click on the link.

  4. Step 4

Pay for the update online. The update will be shipped to you. Depending on the type of Magellan GPS that you own, it will be sent as a secure digital (SD) card or a DVD.
