How to Access a VW Jetta Tail Light

The Volkswagen Jetta has attracted somewhat of a cult following over the years since its introduction in 1979. While the base model Jetta was offered in both standard petrol and diesel engines, the VR6 offered a specially designed V-6 engine in a lightweight Jetta body for performance enthusiasts. With all the design options, a few things remain constant across all models of the Jetta--the signature taillights. When the lights burn out in these brake lights, you'll need to know how to access the rear taillight assembly.

Instructions

    • 1

Disconnect the cable from the car's negative battery terminal. Loosen the retaining nut on the cable clamp and pull the clamp off.
