Women may choose to discontinue the use of birth control when planning to conceive. Detoxification helps rid the body of synthetic hormones and restores the body to functioning the way it was before the use of birth control. While it may take up to three months to cleanse the body of birth control, it is possible to conceive as early as the first pill-free month. Thus, if detoxing the body only for health reasons, consider using an alternative contraceptive method.
