How to Make a Zebra Valentine Box
You can craft a valentine box with a zebra motif in just a few steps. Besides being a handy container for your cards and goodies, a zebra valentine box is a unique keepsake.
Things You'll Need
- Small box with a lid
- White spray paint
- Black craft paint
- Paintbrushes
- Pencil
- Black maribou feathers
- Black permanent marker
- White school glue

Make a Zebra Valentine Box

Spray paint the box inside and out in a well-ventilated area. Avoid getting runs with your paint by spraying at the appropriate distance. Let it dry completely before moving on.

Use your pencil to draw the zebra stripes onto the box and the lid. If you are not confident drawing freehand, print a pattern to copy.

Use the black craft paint to paint in the zebra stripes. Don't saturate the box with paint. Too much paint can make thin boxes bend or bow.

Use your black permanent marker to outline the painted areas after the paint is dry. Use your marker to fill in any spots you missed.

Use the white glue to secure the maribou feathers around the edge of the box. You might consider gluing the feathers to the edges of the lid. Let the glue dry completely before using your zebra valentine box.
