How to Convert MPG to SWF
"SWF" stands for "Shockwave Flash," a type of animation file that is often streamed on the Internet. An "MPG" file is a type of video file. The Adobe Flash program can play SWF files, but not MPG files. In order to view an MPG file with Flash, you must first convert it into a compatible format.

Download a conversion program such as Format Factory. Install the program onto your computer.

Activate the conversion program by clicking the "Start" button in the left corner of your computer screen, then "All programs." Your conversion program will be listed in the drop-down menu. Highlight and click the program to begin.

Navigate to the "Video" tab on the main program screen and click "All to SWF." Click "Add file" on the new screen that comes up. Browse for your MPG file, and double-click it.

Click the "OK" button in the "Add file window." You'll now be back in the main window, where your conversion process should be listed. Click the "Start" button at the top of the screen to begin the conversion process.

Click "Output folder" on the main screen to see where your converted files are being saved.
