Sanyo projectors are equipped with long-lasting lamps that are mounted in a special housing assembly for quick replacement. All you need is a screwdriver, a replacement lamp and about 5 minutes to get your projector working again.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Sanyo projector
  • Phillips head screwdriver
  • Replacement lamp and housing assembly
  1. Step 1

Place the projector upside down on a flat surface, making sure the unit is unplugged.

  2. Step 2

Locate the square cover plate for the lamp. This should be near the front of the unit and clearly labeled "lamp cover plate." Remove the two Phillips head screws holding the cover plate in place, using the screwdriver. Set aside the cover plate and the screws.

  3. Step 3

Gently raise the wire handle on the lamp and housing assembly, and pull the entire assembly straight up. Install the new lamp housing by inserting it straight down into the socket until it clicks in place. Replace the cover plate.

Tips & Warnings
  • Take the lamp assembly with you to an electronics store to buy the correct replacement, or have the part number ready when ordering online or over the phone.
  • Unplug the projector before replacing the lamp.
