Step 1
Start talking to your friends, and approach those that are looking for a little moral support in working towards an exercise commitment. Friends make good workout partners because you may have such a good time together that you forget that you are "working"
-
Step 2
Ask your coworkers if they would like to be workout partners. Coworker make great workout partners for reasons of convenience; a lunch hour is an excellent opportunity to set out on a walk or make a run for the gym down the road.
-
Step 3
Ask a family member to be a workout partner. Family members make suitable workout partners because they are not afraid to show a little tough love when it comes to giving you a hard time if you start slacking off on your fitness goals.
-
Step 4
Start a workout partner network board at your local gym so that you can easily meet up with people who have like minded goals.
-
Step 5
Join an online fitness community to get in touch with other fitness minded people. Contribute to a forum and find a workout partner online. Search for workout buddies local to your specific area and you may be able to meet new people who have fitness goals that are similar to yours.
