How to Change your Gmail password

If you're trying to change your password in Gmail, this article will show you how to do that.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    To change your password in Gmail, first log into your Gmail email account.

  2. Step 2

    At the top of your Gmail account page, go to "Settings."

    This should be in the upper right hand corner of your gmail page.

  3. Step 3

    Once you have opened your Gmail settings, find and go to the "Accounts" tab.

    This is where you can change your gmail settings for this account.

  4. Step 4

    Now click "Google Accounts Settings" at the bottom of the page.

    This should open up a new web page.

  5. Step 5

    Find the "Personal Settings" section. This is typically in the middle of the screen.

  6. Step 6

    Click "Change password."

  7. Step 7

    Now enter your current password for gmail, along with the new password you want for your Gmail account.

    As your typing, the bar on the left side will indicate the strength of your gmail password.

  8. Step 8

    Click "Save" and you have now changed your Gmail password!
