- Large pot
- 3 cups of water
- 1 large lemon
- Large towel

Step 1
Citrus FruitsSteaming your face on a weekly basis can keep your skin radiant, young, and clean away impurities. The steam will clean your skin form the inside out by forcing out any lodged impurities deep in your pores. If you are prone to oily or blemished skin you may brake out the first few times you steam your face, don't worry it is just gunk being pushed out of your pores. As you continue to steam your face weekly the breakouts will stop and your skin will be gorgeous. If you suffer from dry skin steam your face only once every two weeks, as steams remove natural oils from your skin.
-
Step 2
Wash your face twice, the first wash will remove dirt, makeup, and oil from your skin, the second wash will wash away any remaining traces. Gently pat your face dry.
-
Step 3
Pour water into pot and boil over high heat.
-
Step 4
Lemon fusionOnce the water has started to boil, cut the lemon in half and squeeze the lemon juice into the boiling water. Cut the lemon into slices and throw into your pot. Remove from the fire once you have added the lemon slices.
-
Step 5
Cover the pot for about one minute. Find a comfortable place to sit where you can place the bowl about 10 inches from your face, and remain at that angle for at least ten minutes.
-
Step 6
Pour the lemon infusion into the glass bowl. Sit in a comfortable position and drape the large towel over your face making sure you cover the sides of the bowl so the steam won't escape. Close your eyes and position yourself at least 10 inches from the bowl.
-
Step 7
Allow your face to steam for 10-15 minutes.
-
Step 8
Following your facial steam, rinse your face with very cold water. Gently pat dry, and moisturize. It is important to moisturize your skin after every steam, to keep your skin supple.
-
Step 9
If you suffer from dry skin, skip the weekly steam. Remember to keep your face at least 10 inches from the steaming bowl.
