How to Make Easy Homemade Donut Holes With Cinnamon and Sugar

Make donut holes at home.

While not the most nutritious food, donuts remain popular at least in part for the simple sweet comfort they provide. According to the Baking Management website, consumers struggling in a tough economy are turning more often to donuts as something to lift their spirits. You can do the same by creating some donut holes at home.

Things You'll Need

• 1 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 cups milk
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 3 cups flour
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 2 tsp. baking powder
• Cinnamon to taste
• Deep fryer
• Large bowl

Instructions

1. Fill the fryer at least half full of oil. You'll want enough to ensure the dough is covered when you drop it in.

2. Mix the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a large bowl.

3. Add the eggs, vanilla and milk and mix well.

4. Roll the dough into balls and about put about five into the fryer -- less or more depending on how big your fryer is.

5. Fry the donuts until they brown, then set them on paper towels to drain. After the donut holes have drained for a couple of minutes, roll them in sugar and cinnamon.
