How to Transfer Funds from PayPal to your Bank Account

You can transfer your PayPal balance to your bank account.

PayPal claims that it is "the faster, safer way to pay and get paid online." Whether you sell something, collect a tenant's rent or accept donations for fund-raising, PayPal will keep a balance of the funds that you can use to shop online or transfer to your bank account. You can move money from your PayPal balance to your bank account anytime, and it usually takes about three to four business days to complete the free transfer.

Instructions

1. Log on to your PayPal account online.

2. Note your PayPal account balance near the top of the main page. To transfer some or all of these funds to your bank account, roll your mouse over the "Withdraw" option in the menu bar, and click on the first option: "Transfer to Bank Account."

3. Fill in the amount you wish to transfer to your personal bank account, and choose which bank account you would like to use if you have more than bank account linked to your PayPal account.

4. Add a bank account if you do not have one linked to your PayPal account, or if you would like to transfer funds to another bank account, by clicking on the "Add Bank Account" link.

5. Click "Continue" to confirm your request to transfer funds from PayPal to your bank account.
