Step 1
Think about what you want to market. Do you want to market a specific product? Are you hosting an open house? By creating the appropriate content and targeting the correct audience, the campaigns you send out will resonate more effectively with your audience. Ultimately, delivering a better result.
-
Step 2
Create an Effective Subject Line:
You must give a good deal of thought to the subject of your email. The subject is vital because it can make or break the results of a campaign. The wording is extremely important because you want to develop enough interest in the product for the customer to open the email. You want to avoid Spam traps. Take for example the following two subjects:
Example 1. Free Camera Case with the Purchase of a new Nikon Digital Camera
Example 2. Reduce Energy Costs with a Konica Minolta copier solution
Example 2 will drive better results because it illustrates how Konica Minolta can provide a beneficial service to the customer. Potential customers will find themselves asking, How is a Konica Minolta copier going to do that for me? The result is an opened email.
Example 1, may end up in a spam folder due to the word "Free" in the subject line. Spam filters look for this word when filtering incoming emails. -
Step 3
Creating Effective Content
It's important that your images and content support your message. You have a 10 second window to grab the customer's attention so focus their attention on the main points of the email. If you are selling a product tell the customer why they cannot operate without it. Get straight to the point and keep it short. You only have a few seconds to capture their attention, take advantage of it!
