These roasted almonds make a wonderful sweet treat and look great in jars as a holiday side dish or gift.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 Cups of Natural, unsalted almonds
  • 2Tbsp butter
  • 1/4 C honey
  • 1 Cup Sugar in the Raw
  • cookie sheets
  1. Step 1

Heat/turn on oven to 350 degrees. Spread almonds out on shallow cookie pan and place in cold oven. Roast 12-20 minutes.

  2. Step 2

In a small/medium saucepan heat up butter and honey. Drop in roasted almonds and stir, letting get coated for about two minutes. Line with parchment paper or spray with cooking spray another cookie sheet. Spread out sticky almonds on cookie sheet to cool slightly.

  3. Step 3

Place almonds, still mostly sticky, in a large ziploc bag. Pour sugar in the raw into bag on top, then shake, separating the almonds with your fingers through the bag to make sure they each get coated with the sugar.

  4. Step 4

Using a spoon, fill small glass Ball or Kerr jars with the almonds and put the lids on. Tie a ribbon around the jars to make them more attractive, and hand them out as gifts. Or you can just put the almonds in tupperware and eat them all yourself!

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't touch the almonds at any of the stages when they are hot
