How to Clean Glass Like a Pro

Use a professional homemade solution to keep your glass surfaces clean.

You can clean glass like a pro without expensive chemicals or equipment. From the glass in your home and auto and even to fixtures that are made of chrome, a simple homemade solution recommended by professional cleaning companies is all you need to keep the glass clean and streak free.

Things You'll Need

• 70 percent isopropyl rubbing alcohol
• Ammonia
• Spray bottle
• Paper towels

Instructions

1. Combine 1 cup of rubbing alcohol, 1 tablespoon of ammonia and 1 cup of water in a spray bottle. Make sure the ammonia is nonsudsing.

2. Close the spray bottle and shake well to combine the ingredients.

3. Spray the solution onto the glass surface and wipe it in a circular motion to clean the glass. Continue wiping until the glass is clean and clear. Use a clean paper towel to finish up if the original gets too wet.

Tips & Warnings

• You can substitute newspaper sheets for the paper towels.

• Isopropyl rubbing alcohol is poisonous. Do not ingest. Teach your children the danger, or keep out of reach.
