Step 1
Locate an Authorized Vacuflo central vacuum dealer in your local market or online. This can be tricky. Unscrupulous companies often try to pass themselves off as Vacuflo dealers. To be safe, for local companies check out the Vacuflo dealer locator at http://dealer.centralvachq.com/dealer.aspx?vac=2. Internet companies are a little more difficult to verify, so call Vacuflo at 1-800-822-8356 to make sure you are getting genuine Vacuflo parts

Step 2
If you are ordering online be sure to take stock of your accessories and determine what you need. In most companies larger online orders usually include free shipping. Check your hose for signs of wear indicating it might be time for a new one. Check your inlets to determine whether you have Vacuflo genuine or Vacuflo universal. Vacuflo genuine inlets will have an opening for the hose and a receptacle above with the prongs about 1" apart. The Vacuflo universal inlets will have an opening for the hose with two little contacts inside the hose opening.

Step 3
Check the bristles on your accessory set, including the powerhead, barefloor brush, dusting brush, and upholstery tool and if they are worn consider upgrading to one of Vacuflo's newer accessory sets.
-
Step 4
Check your Vacuflo filter for signs of wear. These filters last for years, but homeowners are often happy to hear they can replace an older filter. Keep in mind only the Vacuflo FC series will have filters.

Step 5
Consider replacing your powerhead with an updated model. If you have a Vacuflo system chances are you have a Turbocat powerhead. Vacuflo has released a new and improved Turbocat Zoom. You may find your cleaning improved with a new one.
