Homemade All Purpose Cleaner

Instead of buying expensive and toxic all purpose cleaners at the store, why not make your own with a few cheap and easy to use ingredients? This homemade all purpose cleanser is easy to make and works great on cleaning almost any surface. And, since the ingredients are safe and natural, you don’t have to worry about harmful chemicals affecting the environment or your family.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda
  • Borax
  • Environmentally friendly liquid soap
  • 2 cups hot water
  • Spray bottle
  1. Step 1

Using a funnel, pour 1/2 teaspoon of Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda and 2 teaspoons Borax into a medium sized spray bottle.

  2. Step 2

Add 1/2 teaspoon of environmentally friendly liquid soap to the ingredients in the spray bottle.

  3. Step 3

Slowly add 2 cups of hot water to the bottle to prevent the mixture from foaming too much. Replace the spray nozzle on the bottle, and shake until the ingredients have been dissolved and blended together.

  4. Step 4

Spray the cleaning mixture on the surface you wish to clean, and wipe away with a damp cloth.

Tips & Warnings
  • This mixture stores very well and the water does not have to be hot for it to work effectively. This particular recipe makes about 2 cups of homemade all purpose cleaner, however you can easily double the recipe if you wish to make more homemade all purpose cleaner at one time.
  • As with any type of cleanser you use, you should always perform a spot test on the surface you wish to clean and practice good safety measures when cleaning such as wearing gloves.
