The User32 file is an extremely important file in Microsoft Windows. It stores all of the instructions for elements using some sort of graphic. If the file becomes damaged, the entire operating system would stop working correctly. Because of this, it is crucial to correct and remove any error associated with the User32 file (user32.dll). In order to do this, you must typically repair the User32.dll file itself.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Click "Start", and then "Run."

  2. Step 2

Type in the code "wupdmgr" (without the quotation marks) into the blank search bar of the "Run" window, then hit "Enter." This will update Windows.

  3. Step 3

Turn on the automatic update feature on Windows now by clicking "Start", "All Programs," then "Windows Update."

  4. Step 4

Select "Change Settings" when the Windows Update window loads. Pick your desired settings, then click "Include recommended updates when downloading, installing, or notify me of updates." Click "OK" and this will apply the new settings. This will correct the User32 error.
