How to Install ActiveX Control 12 for Runescape

RuneScape uses a programming language created by Sun Microsystems called Java. Browsers need to have an Active X control installed to utilize Java. Security settings must be set to allow the use of the Active X control.

Instructions

    Installing Java

  1. Step 1

    Download the Java plug-in at http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp. Click on the first link to begin the download.

  2. Step 2

    Click on the "Save file" button. Select your desktop as the location for the file.

  3. Step 3

    Run the file from your desktop and follow the installation prompts.

  4. Step 4

    Open Internet Explorer and go to Tools > Internet Options > Security. Set the security level for the Internet zone to medium-high then press OK.

    Click "play now" at http://www.runescape.com/
