How To Clean Leather Flip Flops

Leather flip flops are comfortable and very stylish. You can purchase them in a variety of designs and colors and can wear them year round in some locations. Unfortunately, leather flips flops, like most sandals, can get very dirty. A simple walk outside, a trip to the beach or even a day at the office can dirty up your flip flops. However, leather flip flops are actually quite easy to clean.

Things You'll Need

• Saddle soap
• Wash cloths
• Soft bristle tooth brush

Instructions

1. Wet wash cloth. Wring out any excess moisture that that it is only damp.

2. Dip wash cloth into the saddle soap.

3. Apply the saddle soap directly to leather flip flops. Use medium pressure and rub in a circular motion.

4. Dip tooth brush into the saddle soap. Rub along the seems of your flip flops and any areas that your wash cloth did not get.

5. Allow flip flops to sit for 5 minutes.

6. Wet second wash cloth and wring out any excess moisture.

7. Wipe away the saddle soap with wash cloth. Your leather flip flops should be clean and free of any offensive odors.

Tips & Warnings

• Wiping down your flip flops with a damp cloth each night before you go to bed will help to keep them clean.

• Test a small section of your leather flip flops before you apply the saddle soap to the entire shoe.
