How to Charge Batteries for an HP Photosmart
The HP Photosmart is a compact digital camera that comes with a rechargeable R07 lithium ion battery. When the battery dies, it can be recharged in a variety of ways. You can use the camera's AC power adapter or you can purchase two other items, a camera dock and the HP Photosmart Quick Recharger, to charge your battery. Each item is easy to use and they will ensure that you never have to buy a battery for your camera.

HP AC Power Adapter

Turn off the camera.

Lift the tab on the side to expose the port for the AC power adapter

Insert the AC power adapter plug into the port on the camera.

Plug the AC power adapter into the wall outlet.

Allow the battery to charge for four to seven hours to get the camera back to full power.
R-series Camera Dock

Turn off the camera.

Find the insert that allows the camera to fit onto the camera dock.

Attach the insert to the camera dock.

Attach the camera on top of the camera dock so that the plug fits into the port on the bottom of the camera.

Allow the camera to charge for four to seven hours before using again.
R-series Camera Dock Spare Battery Tray

Remove the battery from the camera.

Insert the battery into the camera dock's spare battery tray with the arrow on top of the battery facing toward the dock.

Push the battery as far as it will go inside the spare battery tray until the thumb tab snaps down.

Allow the battery to charge for two to four hours before removing it.

Push up the thumb tab to release the battery after the charge.
HP Photosmart Quick Recharger

Remove the battery from the camera.

Insert the power cord into the Quick Recharger.

Plug the opposite end of the power cord into a wall socket.

Push the battery into the Quick Recharger with the arrow facing toward the Recharger. If you're inserting the battery correctly, it will snap into place.

Allow the battery to charge for one to two hours before using it again.
