How to Send Satellite TV to Other Rooms

Satellite TV is popular in rural areas. Usually, these locations are not equipped with regular cable providers. To receive satellite at your home you must have a clear view of the southern sky. Some satellites install on the roof of the home while others are in the ground next to the house. Sending the satellite TV signal to other rooms is not hard and will let you watch different programs in various locations around your home.

Things You'll Need

• Two coaxial cables
• Cable splitter
• Extra satellite box

Instructions

1. Insert a small coaxial cable into the satellite wall jack, approximately four feet long.

2. Attach the coaxial cables to the cable splitter. Screw the wall jack cable into the "In" port. Insert the first TV cable into the "Out" port. Connect the "Other Room" cable into a second "Out" port.

3. Move the "Other Room" cable to the secondary satellite TV box. Screw the cable into the "In" port in the back of the satellite box.

Tips & Warnings

• Satellite requires TV boxes in all rooms of the home. Plugging the cable directly into the television will force you to watch what is playing on the satellite box in the main room. For a fee, you can install multiple satellite wall outlets.
