To clean the outside of the printer start by removing the paper tray, located at the bottom of the front of the printer. Wipe down the outside of the printer with a dry cloth. Lift up the cover of the paper tray and remove anything inside of it before wiping it clean with a dry cloth. Close the cover and replace the paper tray.

    • 2

To clean the scanner lift the document cover--on the very top of the printer--and wipe the glass and the white plastic surrounding it with a cloth moistened in glass cleaner.

    • 3

To clean the paper pick-up roller, start by removing the paper tray from the front of the printer.

    • 4

Unplug the power cord to the printer and open the "Jam Clear Cover" on the back of the printer.

    • 5

Locate the roller at the top of the area that's concealed by the Jam Clear Cover and clean it with a Q-tip moistened with isopropyl alcohol. When you've completed this step, close the Jam Clear Cover.

    • 6

Replace the paper tray and plug the power cord back into the printer.
