How to Make a Frog Fabric Diaper Bag

- Lining fabric
- Interfacing
- Scissors

Cut the pieces for your diaper bag using the measurements given in the diagram. Cut four body pieces-- two from your frog fabric and two from your lining fabric--measuring 18" x 20" with 3" corners, two pockets measuring 17" x 6", and one strap measuring 26" x 6". Cut a piece of fusible interfacing measuring 5" x 26".

Fold the top edge of one pocket down about ¼" and fold again about ½". Iron the fold and then sew. Repeat this for the second pocket.

Place the body pieces together, right sides facing. Align the edges and then sew as in step 4.

Put the seams of one corner together and then sew across, as in step 5. Repeat for the second corner.

Place the strap on a flat surface. Fold the long edges of the strap by about ½" and iron flat. Place the interfacing on the strap, close to one fold. Bring the second fold to the first fold, and then iron to fuse the fabric to the interfacing. Sew down the length of both sides of the strap.

Turn the body of the bag inside out and sew the straps to the bag. Turn the lining inside out also and place it inside the body of the bag. Sew the body and the lining together, about ¼" down from the top edge.

Reach through the opening in the lining and pull out the body of the bag. Sew the opening in the lining shut and then tuck the lining into the bag.
