Sign up for a new user account. YouMail offers the service for free. Other sites such as PhoneTag will charge a fee for the service. You will have to provide your name, email address, mobile number and carrier.

Activate the readable voice mails by dialing the numbers provided by the company from your mobile phone. All unanswered calls will then be routed to the company's voice mail system to be transcribed into text and sent to your email box.
