Instructions

    • 1

Buy silk or fresh flowers for your centerpiece. Choose a container that's low to the table if this is for a dinner. Cut a piece of floral foam or craft foam to fit snugly into the container you selected.

    • 2

Cut three floral stems at 4 inches tall. Push the stems into the outer edges of the foam in the container.

    • 3

Continue cutting the floral stems and adding the flowers to the foam.

    • 4

Choose a new type of flower in the same or a different color. Cut five stems at 4 to 5 inches tall and place them in the midsection of the foam.

    • 5

Cut floral stems at 8 to 10 inches to place at either end of the arrangement, giving it an elongated shape. This gives you a larger centerpiece that's low to the table. Diners will be able to see without obstruction from stems and blossoms that are too tall.

    • 6

Add smaller flowers such as sweetheart roses into any open areas of the arrangement. Insert a wired bow into the centerpiece.

    • 7

Place a novelty heart, cupid or dove into the arrangement.

Tips & Warnings

  • Oasis foam is for fresh floral arrangements. Sahara or craft foam is for dry or silk flowers.
