How to Install a Tow Hook on a Jeep Cherokee

A tow hook attached to your Jeep Cherokee will likely help you quite a bit when you're in dire straits. The hook is actually an elongated metal device with two ends. On one end are mounting holes. On the other is the hook. The mounting end of the hook is attached to the bumper beam on your Jeep. The tow hook sticks out underneath the bumper.

      Remove the mounting screw bolts from the front bumper and pull the bumper off.

      Locate the mounting holes on the underside of the bumper beam.

      Align the mounting holes on the tow hook with the mounting holes on the bumper beam.

      Secure the the tow hook to the Cherokee's bumper with the supplied mounting bolts and nuts.

      Re-install the Jeep's front bumper. Line up the mounting holes on the back of the bumper with the mounting holes on the Jeep's frame and bumper beam. Reinsert the mounting screw bolts and tighten them clockwise with a screwdriver or socket wrench (either tool can be used to tighten them).
