This recipe serves up pork chops in a spicy gravy, something a little different. It is very good served over rice or mashed potatoes.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 pork chops, boneless or bone-in
  • Olive oil
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper, divided
  • 2-3 garlic cloves, diced
  • 6 finely chopped green onions
  • 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 pkg brown gravy mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 15oz can petite diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  1. Step 1

Combine flour, salt and 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper.
Coat pork chops in flour mixture.
In a large frying pan, heat olive oil and brown
    pork chops on both sides.
Remove pork chops from pan and set aside.

  2. Step 2

Add more oil to frying pan if needed.
Add chopped green onions, garlic and mushrooms.
    Sauté until tender.

  3. Step 3

In a small bowl, combine gravy mix and 1/2 cup milk.
Stir until well blended and add to the frying pan.
    Mix well.
Add the petite cut tomatoes with juice, 1/2 cup milk, 1/4 tsp
cayenne pepper, and one tsp thyme. Stir until well blended.
