Things You'll Need:
-
Step 1
Cook pasta. Bring 8 cups of water to a boil in a large pot over high heat. When water comes to a boil add several tablespoons of salt and 2 cups of Rotini pasta. Cook according to package instructions (typically 9-11 minutes) or until pasta reaches desired tenderness. Place colander in sink and pour water and pasta into colander to drain pasta.
-
Step 2
Sauté onion and garlic. Add two tablespoons of olive oil to pan over medium heat. Peel and chop 1 medium onion and 3 cloves of garlic and place in pan with heated olive oil. Sauté until onion and garlic soften. Stir frequently to ensure that onion and garlic do not burn.
-
Step 3
Cook ground beef. Add ground beef to the pan with sauteed onion and garlic. Add salt, pepper, and oregano to beef and stir to break up the beef. Continue stirring and breaking up the ground beef until browned.
-
Step 4
Assemble Spaghetti Bolognese. Add commercial sauce to the pan with onion, garlic, and ground beef to create your meat sauce. Stir until all ingredients are incorporated and meat sauce begins to bubble slightly. Add salt and pepper. Add cooked pasta and 1 cup of parmesan cheese to the pan with onion, garlic, beef, and sauce. Stir well. Top Spaghetti Bolognese with parmesan cheese and parsley.
