Yahoo Groups were all the rage a few years back and many people joined groups that are no longer active or they no longer have interest in being a part of. Find out how to remove yourself from a Yahoo Group without the assistance of a moderator so you can stop getting unwanted group e-mails in your inbox.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

To remove yourself from a Yahoo Group, you must actually log into the Yahoo Groups website. This may be tricky for those who have been reading group messages from your e-mail account only as you will have to remember your username and password.

  2. Step 2

To log in to Yahoo Groups, go to groups.yahoo.com and fill in your username and password.

  3. Step 3

This will take you to a page that shows a listing of all of the Yahoo Groups you belong to. Click on the group you would like to remove yourself from.

  4. Step 4

Once you are brought to the main page for your Yahoo Group, look at the top of the page just above the title of your group. It will say your username, e-mail address and then a link that says "Edit Membership." Click here.

  5. Step 5

After clicking "Edit Membership" it will bring you to a page that allows you to change a variety of different settings for this group. At the bottom right-hand corner of the page there is a button that says "Leave Group." Click on this.

  6. Step 6

Now you will be brought to a page that asks you if you are sure you want to leave this group. Hit "Leave Group" if you do or "Cancel" if you do not.

  7. Step 7

If you do click "Leave Group" it will now bring you to a page that tells you that you have successfully left your Yahoo Group.
