Tips & Warnings
Dry mop the floors as much as possible because moisture can leave residue on the rock. Use a designated mop for your travertine marble floors; do not use this mop in other areas, especially on chemically-cleaned floors. Use a vacuum or cloth-style broom on your travertine floors to clean sand particles and grit off the surface in order to prevent scratches and damage to the floor. Use mats and area rugs near entrance and exit areas in order to absorb outside dirt from shoes.
Do not use acid-based or harsh cleaners like vinegar, glass or furniture cleaners because they will dull or damage the stone's polish. If you spill acid-based liquids on a travertine marble floor and it sits there, you may need to scrub it off with a fine-grade sandpaper and reseal the area.
