How to Design a Graduation Ring
A graduation ring is a piece of jewelry that is individualized to you and your experience in high school or college. You can design a graduation ring fairly easily with the help of ring-designing websites, where you can choose the style, color and customizations that you want on your graduation ring. Choose customizations that speak about your interests and experiences, to make your graduation ring truly "yours."

1
Go to a website, such as Jostens, that lets you customize and design your graduation ring (see Resources for some options).
-
2
Choose the grade level from which you are graduating, and then use the search function to look up your particular high school or college.
-
-
3
Look through the different collections of rings that are available for your particular school and choose one. From the collection, you can then choose the style and the color you want for your ring.
-
4
If you chose a ring with a stone (as opposed to a signet style), choose your birthstone or even a gemstone that you particularly like. You could also choose the birthstone of your boyfriend or girlfriend. Choose the cut of the stone, and whether you want the accent stones to be diamonds or cubic zirconias.
-
5
Choose what you want engraved on the side of your ring. You can choose your own name, your boyfriend or girlfriend's name, the mascot for your school or your school's name. Remember that a graduation ring is meant to be a keepsake, so choose a word that fits you.
-
6
Choose a graphic that you want placed on the other side of your ring. There are graphics for sports, as well as many different interests, such as hunting, water sports, camping, music and drama. Again, choose a design that is unique to you and that evokes good memories.
-
7
Add your graduation year, choose your ring size and pick the metal of which you want it to be made, normally various karat grades of yellow or white gold, or sterling silver.
