How to Raise the Driver's Seat of a Subaru

Subaru vehicles are some of the best-made cars and SUVs on the planet. With a plethora of safety features and special accommodations, Subaru has something for everyone. To utilize your Subaru, however, the driver's seat must be in the right place to see, shift and maneuver properly.

Instructions

    • 1

Climb into the driver's seat of a Subaru. Place feet near pedals and hang arms at sides.

    • 2

Reach left hand down the left side of the driver's seat; a lever or mechanical button will be found.

    • 3

Pull out the lever and twist forward, lifting up the driver's seat.

    • 4

If the car has a mechanical button, lift up on the button with your left hand to raise the driver's seat.

    • 5

For Subarus with mechanical buttons on the driver's seat, you can also push the buttons forward, inflating the back and bottom of the seat and allowing the driver to sit up higher.
