How to Calculate Date Interval

Working with employee seniority and vacation issues, and determining financing terms are just a couple of examples of the reasons why one may need to figure out the number of days, weeks or months between two specified dates. Doing this by hand is a tedious process that can easily lead to errors and miscalculations.

Instructions

1. Write down the two dates or sets of dates for which you need to calculate the intervals between.

2. Open your web browser and go to the following URL address:
   http://www.timeanddate.com/date/duration.html

3. Use the time date calculator there by entering the start date and end date in the text boxes provided and clicking on the "Calculate duration" button.

4. Record the calculated interval and proceed with your other date ranges. The interval will be provided for you in all the following forms: seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks and months.
