Instructions

  1. Branch Centerpiece

    • 1

Spray paint the entire surface of the branch using a high-gloss paint. This can be a neutral brown or a color that matches the holiday or occasion.

    • 2

Hot glue natural-colored buttons to the brown branch tips. If you have used a different color for the branches, use buttons that will compliment the other decorations.

    • 3

Lay the branch on its side in the center of the table.

Leaf Place Mats and Napkin Rings

    • 4

Lay a plate on a brown paper bag and draw around it. Cut the circle out. Repeat for the number of place mats you will need.

    • 5

Overlap leaves, half on the edge of the circle of paper and half off. Hot glue them in place all the way around the circle. These place mats are wreathed in leaves, but the center is left plain.

    • 6

Fold your napkins in half twice to make a square. Roll the squares into a tight tube. Wrap a large leaf around the center of the napkins. Tie a 12-inch piece of jute around the leaf on each napkin to hold it in place. Tie the jute into a bow and hot glue a button over the center of the bow.

    • 7

Place plates in the center of the place mats. The leaves will peek out around the edges. Lay the napkins on the plates.

    Leaf Votive Holders

    • 8

Glue leaves around the outside of each glass votive holder. The bottom of the leaves should be even with the bottom of the votive holders and they should overlap around the holder so that no glass shows.

    • 9

Cut a 12-inch piece of jute. Wrap the jute around the middle of the votive holder and tie into a bow. Glue a button over the center of each bow.

    • 10

Place a votive holder at each place setting, above the place mat. Sprinkle additional buttons over the surface of the table to resemble confetti.

Tips & Warnings

  • For additional touches to your table decorations, tie a leaf around the stems of wine glasses and make a place card by writing names on leaves with a gold paint pen.
