Adobe Lightroom is a program that runs hand-in-hand with Adobe Photoshop. Photoshop is an image-editing software that gives the user the power to manipulate almost anything in the image, while Lightroom controls the workflow of the images, from how the images are imported all the way to how they are displayed. And like most Adobe products, Lightroom has countless plugins that help increase its productivity.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to the Adobe Lighroom web page, which features all available plugins the program supports. (A link is provided in the Resources section.)

  2. Step 2

Select the plugin you want. Some must be purchased, while others are free. The plugins that must be purchased have a yellow "Purchase" button next to them, while the free ones have a yellow button that reads "Download." When you click the button to purchase or download, you will be taken to a third-party site.

  3. Step 3

Complete the purchase (if the plugin must be bought) and click the "Download" button.

  4. Step 4

Open the downloaded plugin's icon (it will be on the desktop or in a "Downloads" window). Follow the prompts to complete its installation. The plugin's files will be saved with Adobe Lightroom's files, so the next time you launch Lightroom, the plugin will be present.
