  • Heavy thread or yarn
  • Wooden beads

Instructions

    • 1

Tie the yarn or heavy-duty thread to the clip. Cut it to the length desired, remembering to leave a few inches free to tie off the other end.

    • 2

Thread the beads onto the yarn. Be sure to choose large beads that cannot easily be swallowed. Avoid beads that are treated with wood varnishes or paints—these chemicals can be very harmful. Stick with beads labeled nontoxic. Craft stores sell beads specifically for child crafts.

    • 3

Leave two to four inches of yarn free of beads. Knot the yarn close to the end of the beads to hold them on the thread. Tie the thread securely to your pacifier of choice. Alternately, you can include another clip at this end if you want to change out the pacifier with each use.

Tips & Warnings

  • Experiment with a variety of bead shapes, sizes and colors for a fun, crafty look.
