Step 1
First spritz a conditioning spray all over your dry hair. Then put your hair into either a ponytail or pigtails.
-
Step 2
To braid you want to start doing it the normal three section way, crossing over one section at a time once.
-
Step 3
But instead of crossing the same section of hair over again and again, you want to let go of each section after you bring the next one over it.
-
Step 4
Pick up a new section of hair and cross it over the last, letting go of each section of hair as you cross over it with a new one.
-
Step 5
Continue doing this as far as you can all the way to the end.
-
Step 6
Then secure it at the end with a ponytail holder or rubber band.
-
Step 7
The smaller the section of hair you use during this style of braiding the better the end result will be. It also takes up more time this way though. Basically the more time you spend on this fishtail braid the more impressive it comes out.
-
Step 8
You can also pull out the sides of the braid a little to give the braid a messy look, which many people seem to like.
