Make a Nylon Baby Headband
Make a Nylon Baby Headband

In three easy steps, learn how to make adorable nylon headbands for your baby!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Nylon fabric
  • Scissors
  • Sewing machine OR iron-on no-sew tape (available at craft & fabric stores)
  • Iron (if using no-sew tape)
  1. Step 1

Choose your fabric & cut it in a strip that's long enough to fit around your baby's head. Make it long enough for the band to fit closely but not tightly.

  2. Step 2

Decide how wide you want the band to be and either sew the ends of the fabric on a sewing machine (or by hand) or for the easiest & fastest way, use the iron-on no-sew tape to bind your edges. Follow the directions on the package. The tape is very easy to use...and is perfect for other projects, such as hemming pants and sleeves.

  3. Step 3

Sew the ends of the band together or bind them with no-sew tape to make the strip into a complete band. You can decorate your band with bows, fabric flowers, or other fun add-ons. Use a few stitches or hot glue to attach them. That's it--your baby's band is ready to wear!

Tips & Warnings
  • Fun tip: Use old clothes your baby has outgrown as your fabric--it's a great way to get more mileage out of those cute outfits that don't fit anymore!
  • Make sure you don't use anything too small that could come loose--your baby might get a hold of it and it could become a choking hazard.
