How to Get Beautiful Perfect Lips

Start at the center of your lip to apply lipstick.

Bold, beautiful lips always demand attention. Styles may change, but the lips remain a prime facial focal point. Make the most of yours and use the right products and techniques to create a perfectly kissable pout.

Things You'll Need

• Soft toothbrush
• Lip balm
• Lip liner
• Lipstick
• Small brush
• Loose powder
• Lip gloss (optional)

Instructions

1. Wet a soft-bristled toothbrush with warm water and gently rub it over your lips. This exfoliation helps to smooth your lips and removes any dead skin on the surface. The base is the most important part of creating a smooth lip look.

2. Apply colorless moisturizing lip balm. Look for wax-based formulations to help make your lipstick stick to your lips.

3. Outline your lips with a lip liner that’s the same shade as the lipstick you are going to be wearing. Draw just inside the edge of your lips to define their shape and to keep your lipstick from feathering.

4. Fill in your lips with lipstick, starting at the center of your lips. Work your way toward the outer corners.

5. Dip a small makeup brush into loose powder and trace it all around your lips. This helps to set your lipstick and keeps it from smearing.

6. Apply a lip gloss over your lipstick, if you like.
