Do you want to live longer? Do you want to prevent cancer, reduce the risk of heart disease, lower your blood pressure, help your diabetes? You can if you eat five or more servings of antioxidants a day. This is a list of foods full of antioxidants to help you live longer and healthier lives.

  1. Step 1

    Blueberries.
    Until recently blueberries were thought to be the number one antioxidant food that you could eat. Blueberries help fight disease and promote mental focus to help you have better clarity of thought. Most berries have healing properties so there is no need to limit yourself to just blueberries. Also add strawberries, raspberries blackberries.

  2. Step 2

    Sweet Potatoes.
    Like many brightly colored fruit and vegetables sweet potatoes are full of healthy antioxidant vitamin, minerals and nutrients.

  3. Step 3

    Broccoli.
    Broccoli, Cauliflower, Brussels Sprouts, and Cabbage are all part of the same family. They are all full of antioxidant properties that fight disease and promote weight loss.

  4. Step 4

    Tomatoes.
    Full of lycopene, tomatoes are proving to be effective in fighting cancer and heart disease. Avoid canned tomatoes as they are full of salt and other unhealthy preservatives.

  5. Step 5

    Acai.
    A berry from Brazil, this superfood has two to ten times more antioxidants than blueberries. Good to help prevent cancer, reduce the risk of heart disease and help promote weight loss. Just like the blueberries Acai helps clean your digestive system because they are also full of fiber.

  6. Step 6

    Resveratrol.
    Found mostly in the skin of grapes the antioxidant properties in resveratrol are similar to the Acai Berries and they fight disease and promote long life. Therefore, you should drink one glass of red wine or concord grape juice a day. You can eat a bunch of red grapes daily as well.

  7. Step 7

    Finally.
    All these fruit and vegetables have one thing in common. Each of these fruit and vegetables are dark in color which is a common thread among healthy fruit and vegetables. In reality we are focused on antioxidant properties of fruit and vegetables. We can just eat 6 to 9 helpings of fruit and vegetables daily that are a variety of colors. This list mentions some that are high in antioxidants but all fruit and vegetables are good for your health and help you live a long life.
